Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 25, 2026
NXTE is operated by Next Talent Inc. This policy says what we collect, why we have it, and who else sees it. It covers nxte.app and everything on it.
1. What we collect
What you give us
- Your account: email address and password. The password is never stored in a form we can read.
- Your profile: username, display name, avatar, bio, country and state, and the gamertags you add for the platforms you play on.
- Age and location, before you play for money: your date of birth, and your state. Where you allow it, your browser's location is used to work out the state, and we keep the state rather than the coordinates.
- Identity and tax details, before you withdraw: enough to confirm who you are and that you are 18 or older, and the tax details US law requires us to hold once your prize earnings pass the reporting threshold.
- What you upload: match screenshots, team and event logos, banners, and anything you write in chat, news posts or event rules.
What the platform records as you use it
- Your matches, results, scores, disputes and the outcome of them.
- Your teams, the events you enter, and the events you run.
- Wallet activity: deposits, entries, winnings, subscription payments and withdrawals.
- Moderation records, including strikes and account actions taken against you.
- Basic technical information your browser sends, such as device and browser type, used to keep the service working and secure.
What you connect
- Twitch or Kick: your channel name, whether you are live, and where you turn it on, a stream key so your NXTE broadcast can be sent to your own channel.
- Discord: your Discord username and id, so results and event notices can reach you there.
- You can disconnect any of these at any time in your settings.
We do not collect your card or bank details. Payments run through PayPal, and your card never touches NXTE.
2. Why we have it
- To run your account, your matches and your events.
- To decide results and settle disputes. Screenshots and stream recordings are evidence, and that is the reason we keep them.
- To take payments, credit winnings, and pay withdrawals.
- To meet the law: confirming age, applying state restrictions on paid competition, tax reporting, and keeping financial records.
- To stop cheating, fraud and abuse.
- To email you about your account and the events you are in. Marketing email is separate, and you can opt out of it without losing account email.
3. What other people can see
NXTE is a competitive platform, so some of what you do is public by design.
- Public: your username, avatar, bio, teams, results, statistics, and the events you enter or run. Public event pages, standings and brackets can be read by anyone, signed in or not.
- Not public: your email address, date of birth, exact location, identity and tax details, wallet balance, and payment history.
- Chat in an event lobby is visible to whoever that room is open to, which the room tells you.
- An organizer of an event you enter sees the roster and results for their event. They do not see your wallet or your personal details.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it with the companies that make the platform work, and only for that purpose.
| Who | What they get, and why |
| PayPal | Payment details for deposits, subscriptions and withdrawals |
| Convex | Hosts the database and backend |
| Netlify | Serves the website |
| Resend | Sends account email, including sign-up and password codes |
| Twitch and Kick | Confirms you are live, and sends your broadcast to your own channel |
| Discord | Links your account and delivers notifications |
| Dolby OptiView | Carries video for streams produced through NXTE |
| Identity and tax providers | Verifies identity before withdrawal and handles required tax forms |
We also share information where the law requires it, to enforce our terms, to investigate fraud, or as part of a sale or merger of the business, in which case this policy travels with it.
5. How long we keep it
- Your account: while it is open, and for a short period after you close it in case you come back or a dispute is still open.
- Money records: kept as long as tax and financial rules require, which is longer than the account itself.
- Match evidence: screenshots and result records are kept as part of the competitive record of an event.
- Moderation records: kept so a banned account cannot simply return.
6. Your choices
- See and correct it: most of it is in your settings, and you can change it there.
- Delete it: ask us to close your account and we will delete what we are not required to keep. Results in events other people played in stay part of that event's record.
- Take it with you: ask and we will send you a copy of your data.
- Marketing: unsubscribe from any marketing email. Account and event email continues while your account is open.
- Connections: unlink Twitch, Kick or Discord at any time.
- Depending on where you live you may have further rights, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act. Ask us and we will honor them.
7. Security
Passwords are stored hashed. Payment credentials never reach us. Stream keys and similar secrets are stored server side and are never sent to a browser. No system is perfect, and if a breach affects you we will tell you.
8. Children
NXTE is for adults. You must be 18 or older to hold an account, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we delete it and close the account.
9. Cookies and similar
We use browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember your settings. We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell data to advertisers.
10. Changes
We can update this policy. When we make a material change we will say so on the platform and update the date above.
